WWI Veterans awarded Congressional Gold Medal

This morning, congressional bickering abated long enough for lawmakers from both sides of the aisle to honor the thousands of Japanese American soldiers who served in WWII. The soldiers of the 100th Infantry Battalion, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and the Military Intelligence Service were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor in recognition of their service - service they gave willingly even as many of their relatives and friends were interned.  We owe these veterans - all veterans - our highest respect and gratitude.Click below to view the story.
